Judah Davis builds interfaces that hold up under real use.

UX engineer based in Levittown, NY — working at the seam between design intent and shipped code. I design the states most people forget to design, then build them.

[about]

Design that ships, not just designs that render.

I'm a UX engineer — I sit between product design and front-end implementation, which means I care as much about focus order and error states as I do about layout and type.

I like small teams where I can own a problem end to end, and I'm equally comfortable dropping into a solo contract to take a defined piece of work from spec to shipped.

This site is intentionally light on projects right now — it's built to grow. New work gets added here as it's finished, not staged for a big relaunch.

What I bring to a project

Read like a spec, because that's how I think about the work.

interaction_design
State-by-state UI design — default, hover, focus, loading, error, empty, disabled — designed on purpose, not left to whoever builds it last.
front_end_build
HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and component-based frameworks — turning specs into interfaces that match the design, not an approximation of it.
design_systems
Building and maintaining shared component libraries so teams stop redesigning the same button.
prototyping
Fast, interactive prototypes for testing real interaction patterns before committing engineering time.
collaboration
Comfortable as the design-to-code bridge on a product team, or working solo on a scoped contract with a clear deliverable.
